Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 9, 2026

This page explains, in plain language, what information may be collected when you visit adriennellucas.com and how it is used. Adrienne L. Lucas, JD. operates this site. This summary is not legal advice. Questions? Email hello@adriennellucas.com.

What we collect

Automatically. Like most websites, hosting and delivery networks may log technical details when you load a page—for example IP address, browser type, general device information, and which pages you viewed. That helps keep the site running, fix glitches, and see aggregate traffic trends. We do not use those logs to advertise to you on other sites.

Cookies. The site may use small bits of storage (cookies or similar) that are necessary for the site to work—for example keeping a preference or protecting against abuse. If we ever add optional analytics or other non-essential tools, we will update this page to say so.

When you email us. If you reach out at hello@adriennellucas.com, we receive whatever you put in the message (and routine details your email app sends, like your address and the time). Please do not send sensitive personal or confidential information unless we have asked you to.

How we use it

We use information only to:

  • Show and improve this website;
  • Reply to people who contact us;
  • Protect the site and comply with the law when required.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it to run targeted ads across the internet.

Who else sees it

We work with vendors who host and deliver the site (and handle email in transit). They only process information as needed to provide those services. We may also release information if the law requires it—for example a valid subpoena—or to protect safety and rights.

How long we keep it

Server logs are kept according to our host’s normal practices (often weeks or months). Email is kept long enough to respond and handle follow-up, and for ordinary business and professional recordkeeping, unless we delete it sooner.

Security

We take reasonable steps appropriate to a small professional site. Nothing on the web is perfectly secure, so please use your judgment when sharing information by email.

Your choices

You can ask what we have from you, request corrections, or ask us to delete email correspondence when it is reasonable to do so. Email hello@adriennellucas.com and we will respond in good faith.

California residents. State privacy laws may give you additional rights (such as knowing what categories of information are collected, requesting deletion in some cases, and opting out of certain sales or sharing). We do not sell personal information. To exercise rights that apply to you, contact us at the email above.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you think we have, let us know and we will remove it.

Other sites

Links on this site may take you to other companies' services—for example our Instagram and LinkedIn profiles. Their privacy policies—not ours—apply there.

Changes

We may update this page when our practices or the site change. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top.
